Ready for Renovation

Our theme on Couture and Construction Podcast in October is “Ready for Renovation.” In the spirit of this theme, we’re spotlighting a gorgeous renovation project recently completed and we’ll share some of Textures Nashville’s tips for approaching a renovation when it comes to flooring.

When planning for your renovation, it is so important to overly communicate your timeline and expectations. A lot of planning goes into the renovation, therefore you should have clear and concise goals on how we can best collaborate to bring your vision to life for your flooring needs. It is always helpful to have the plans readily available before choosing your floors. Once the selection process begins, we will assign a Project Manager to the renovation project so they may describe the process and understand your needs.

Every design is different which is why we make it a priority for our operations team to outline exactly what we will be providing and working against so nothing gets lost in translation. When approaching a renovation, it’s key to determine if you’ll be occupying the space during the reno or not. This is extremely helpful to know upfront, as there are many moving parts within the design process and execution with many different vendors/tradesmen. If the schedule is not efficiently planned and organized from the start, conflicting schedules could jeopardize the final timeline and move-in date. An understanding of the project’s timeline will allow us to schedule appropriately with our installers and team to stay on your desired schedule.

It’s finally time for execution! Our Project Managers will be a part of the process with you the entire way. A final walk-through will ensure we are delivering a favorable outcome and the floors are exactly what you dreamed of.

Below is a recent renovation designed by Lilly Taylor Interiors featuring our Peachey Hardwood Flooring Rift and Quartered Northern Appalachian White Oak, custom scaled herringbone, custom color, and satin conversion varnish finish.
