"Nashville" Luxury Home Tour: More than just a hit show

If this home looks familiar to you that’s because it was featured on ABC’s hit new Show NASHVILLE as the home of Rayna James, a legendary country music superstar, played by Connie Britton. Given the popularity of the show we thought it would be fun to take a photo tour of this luxury home.

The 20,500 square foot estate was designed by Mark Harrison of Adkisson/Harrison and was built by Will Andrews in 1997 with interior design by Mary Spalding. The six-bedroom home is rich with marbles, stones and woods from around the world with a recurring theme of vaulted wood ceilings and exposed brick. There is a wine cellar, pool, multiple outdoor fireplaces and much, much, more.

Reclaimed floors and dry stacked stone show off the earthiness and are eco- conscious to our valuable natural resources. Pecky Cypress vaulted ceilings once laid under water and now shine brightly & boldly. The marbles and stones take you to distant, wonderful palaces; and the columns throughout make you feel heavenly. The lush gardens and grounds offer a beautiful backdrop to this phenomenal estate. Included in this backdrop, is a large, heated pool & spa, cabana house with a fireplace, and a charming barn.

The entry to the home is ostentatious with the richly appointed pool and the ivy covered arched portico. The home has a European feel with worldwide influence. The exterior facade is contemporary Georgian with custom made bricks from Virginia that taper from bottom to top. Antique Gas Lanterns flank the double doors.

The kitchen features a 11′ ceiling with exposed beams made of reclaimed wood, rustic 13″ pine flooring, glossy black granite counter tops with a slate back-splash and decorative arched brickwork. To combine function with beauty this kitchen is appointed with high end stainless steel appliances by Sub-Zero, Gaggenau, Thermador and Bosch that any foodie or aspiring chef would love. The cherry cabinetry by Siematic is self closing.

The master bedroom is elegant without being over-done.  An old world color palette of terracotta, gold and olive green lend warmth. The floors are reclaimed pine. There are two sets of antique French doors from New Orleans that lead to the courtyard.

The library has paneled walls made of solid pine, a wood burning fireplace with a granite surround topped with Versace’s antique wood mantel. The built-in adjustable bookshelves house cabinets below.

Perhaps our favorite feature of the home is the grand staircase. Built of floating & circular dry stacked stone with views from the kitchen to the front door, it leads down to the wine cellar, tasting room, game rooms and the service kitchen. The balusters are hand forged.

Beautiful, if you’re into all that luxury 🙂 Who wouldn’t love this? No wonder ABC chose this as the home featured in their hit series. It has everything an estate can offer.  This home owned by Sylvia Roberts is currently listed for $19,500,000 and is out of reach for most of us. A girl can dream, right?
