Sometimes having fun makes all of the difference when it comes to work. For instance, we had the pleasure of creating a truly one of a kind floor for a beautiful new custom home in Brentwood’s newest luxury home neighborhood, Avery. Working with builder Montgomery Classic Construction and the design team from Nashvilles Bureau Interiors, we had a blast.
The home is a great example of transitional design. Elements such as exposed truss beams and interior brick walls blend perfectly with minimalist elements such as the iron stair balusters.
The flooring is designed to be very timeless yet unique. The coloring of the wood is accomplished by creating a reaction between a mineral solution and the tannin in the wood. After this oxidation process occurs, we add layers of color. The colors in this floor are really special and range from taupe and creams to silvers and grey. The floor has a true matte UV Cured Oil Finish.
We created this wide plank flooring as an engineered product, thus providing a product that will be more dimensionally stable and tolerate changes in the homes environment.
As you can see we custom milled some beautiful parquet, a Chevron on both the upper and lower levels in the home…great design detail!
