2013 Carpet Trends

While homeowners continue to replace carpet with hard surfaces such as tile and hardwood in “living areas”, carpet is still widely used in bedrooms and family recreation areas such as basements and bonus rooms. Using carpeting to define select spaces allows you to be more bold with styles. Fashion is influencing the carpet trends for 2013. Textures, different types of yarn systems, different coloration, patterns, tone-on-tone prints, looped carpet, tip shears and anything that has interest or fashion is on trend.

2013 Carpet Style Forecast:

  • - Geometrics
  • - Low profiles
  • - Stripes
  • - Jewel tones
  • - Earth tones
  • - Grey and taupe’s

This Wilton woven residential carpet features a multitude of eye-catching elements, including a textured loop pile and a handsome geometric pattern. I disagree with the dark flooring being more forgiving with busy households. It does show better and does make you want to clean more to keep it beautiful. Oh- now that is a real plus, afterall!
